Guitar Amps on the Horizon from Purple Chili

Shortly to come into production will be the "Spirit of 62" a 10 Watt point to point hand wired amp that will come as either a standard head or as a combo which will have the addition of a tank reverb.

Powered by 1 x EL34 and an ECC83 this will also have the unique function of a "Watt Dumper" - essentially this means you will be able to set the master volume and drive level but then "turn down" the amp and still have all other settings as was, to retain that overdriven valve tone at low volume.

We will also be producing a cab to match the head and both the cab and the combo will use the Celestion Alnico Gold 10" driver for a wonderful rich and warm sound.

Following that almost immediately will be the "Blues Wailer 35" - this will be a 35 Watt head - also available as a 2 x 12" Neo combo - with the same Watt Dumping facilities as the Spirit of 62 but with the additional power handling produced from 4 x EL84 and 3 x 12AT7.

The combo version will have the Celestion Vintage Century Neo drivers and both the above will have switchable voltage options for ease of travel. Both cabs will be infinite baffle design in keeping with the others in the Purple Chili range.

Also in the Pipeline

Also on the drawing board are the following: - a 400 Watt bass head and combo and an 800 Watt head, as well as a range of bass and guitar tube pre amp pedals.
