Having your bass fully screened is the best way to stop radio frequency interference and white noise being picked up and amplified, along with your instruments natural output signal. If you have single coil pickups fitted to your bass, like Fender Jazz pickups, you may have noticed this interference problem even more. Our professional screening service reduces these problems to almost zero.
If you have ever tried to do this yourself, and have used Aluminium tin foil, you may have had difficulty in soldering this product. I have seen many of our customer's basses that appear to have a great screening job done by the owner, but they have not soldered any of the Aluminium tin foil to earth. Thus, their efforts have not produced the required results.
For a screening job to work correctly, you must earth the screening itself and check for a strong earth continuity. Our screening service is available in two levels. The first and basic screening service includes: Pickup cavities, control cavity and a thin copper foil plate under the bridge (this increases earth connectivity to the bridge). Our second level is a full and comprehensive service that includes all the screening as mentioned as well as the bobbins of your pickups.
