Iceni Zoot Basses - Services: Pre-slotted Fingerboards
If you're building your own bass or guitar, you may need a pre slotted fingerboard. This is where we can help. Getting your fret slots accurate is not easy if you're new to bass construction, or you are using analogue measuring tools. We can supply fingerboards Pre-slotted in a variety of woods including Ebony, Birds eye maple, Flame maple, straight grained Rock maple, Rosewoods and Wendge. Other woods and materials for fingerboards can also be requested. Most of our fingerboards are supplied without a taper; this allows you to choose your own string spacing at the bridge and top nut, and not to be worried about a fingerboard being supplied with the wrong taper.
We can supply fingerboards of any scale length and fret number up to 28 frets. Our standard size for pre slotted boards is 82mm wide x 8mm thick x 750mm long. The 8mm thickness allows you to sand finish to any radius. The depth of the fret slots are 4.5mm deep from the top of the 8mm board.
