We are experts at setting up 4,5 and 6 string basses. Here at the custom shop we use the "Dan Earlewine" neck and setup jig. This gives us the ability to measure neck movements via the calibration dials and then make exact adjustments to the neck and truss rod.
Whilst in the jig, we can also work on the frets, checking for high frets, fret filling, dressing frets, re-crowning and polishing.
This is also were we carry out any work needed to the top nut. When the bass comes out of the jig, we continue the setup by checking intonation, pickup height, and string action. After this we service the electrics using contact cleaner for the rotary pots and check for bad earth connections.
All in all, an excellent setup for a realistic price.
