Computer aided cab design and CNC Machining
First we design the cabs using CAD software. Once we are happy with the basic design we cut a prototype cab on our in-house CNC router. When we have the prototype cut, we carry out a "dry run" to check the dimensions. At this stage we make any minor alterations, and fine tuning to the prototype cab within the software. The file is then sent to the CAM software for production run programming. Within this software, we can program automatic tool selection, depths, offsets and feed rates. The CNC then cuts a production run of the cab, making each cab identical to the original.
